nice but high priced
When we first moved to Fairbury, we bought a few items because of the great quality and very reasonable prices. We have friends, a disabled couple, that had told us how Barber had helped them so much. They had given them credit and made the payments low so as to be affordable on a fixed income. After an introduction from a local friend, they offered us a very nice line of credit which allowed us to furnish the living room and bedroom. Years later when we bought our house, we wanted a new bed, and new living room furniture, as well as family room and extra bedrooms. Without hesitation, they allowed us almost triple the original credit amount with the same monthly payments, and installed gorgeous wood floors in the master and new tile in the master bath. The work was faultless. Even though everyone there is absolutely wonderful and the products are high quality and the prices are great, the reason that I will always be a customer and refer everyone I know to them, is this: My husband passed away unexpectedly just a few months after these purchases. He was the breadwinner as I am disabled. There was no way I could afford 300.00 a month payments. Ken spoke with me so compassionately and so full of real human empathy and sympathy. They recalled the loan from the bank, took it over in-house, lowered my payments to 100.00, and did it at zero interest! I didn't even think people like this still existed. Even now, over 2 years later, on the months that my doctor visits overlap or too many prescriptions come due and I have to lower or even miss a payment, they have never once said a single word or made me feel bad. These truly amazing people deserve any business that comes their way, and you as a customer, deserve the product and old-fashioned customer service you will receive from Barber Furniture.
